A motorcyclist was killed early Wednesday afternoon when it crashed into an automobile. The crash happened near the corner of Monroe Street and Moorpark Avenue, near the I-280/880 exchange.
A man riding a 2001 Ducati motorcycle at a high rate of speed collided with a Nissan sedan that was making a left-hand turn. A young female passenger of the Nissan sedan was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police reported that the collision is San Jose's 42nd fatal traffic collision of 2022.
